Specialist Sexual Violence Services support adult and child victim-survivors of all genders with a continuum of services across the lifespan.

Their work spans all four pillars of the National Plan including:

  • RESPONSE

  • RECOVERY

  • EARLY INTERVENTION and

  • PREVENTION

What do specialist sexual violence services provide?

  • Crisis care and support to access police, medical and forensic services.

  • Healing and recovery through individual counselling and support groups.

  • Legal advocacy and court support.

  • Training for frontline and allied health workers in responding to disclosures.

  • Support to schools to provide Consent and Respectful Relationships Education.

How do we deliver our services?

  • Face-to-face individual and group sessions.

  • Online counselling sessions.

  • 24-hour crisis support and telephone counselling.

  • Counselling outposts and partnerships with other services.

Who can access our services?

  • Adults, adolescents and child victim-survivors of recent or historical sexual assault.

  • Children and adolescents who exhibit harmful sexual behaviours.

  • Non-offending family, caregivers and support people.
